A blister pack is a card of sealed bubbles, one for each time of day you take medication. Your pharmacist fills each bubble with exactly the pills you need at that moment: morning, noon, evening and bedtime, for every day of the week. You just push out the bubble for "right now."
Why people love them
- No more "did I take it?" If Tuesday morning's bubble is empty, you took it.
- No sorting. No weekly pill-organizer sessions at the kitchen table. We do it for you.
- Fewer mistakes. Doses aren't doubled or skipped, which matters most with blood pressure, diabetes, heart and blood-thinner medications.
- Easier for caregivers. You can see at a glance whether a parent is on track, even from across the room.
- Changes handled for you. If your doctor changes a dose, we update the next packs.
Who can get blister packs?
Anyone who wants them. You don't need a referral, a doctor's note or special approval. Blister packs suit you if you take several medications, if you sometimes forget doses, if you care for someone else's medications, or if you'd simply rather not sort pills.
What does it cost?
At Oasis, the blister packaging is free. Your medications are billed exactly as they are now: to the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program, OHIP+, Trillium, or your private drug plan. We accept all insurance plans, so for most people nothing changes except how the pills arrive.
How to start
- Text or WhatsApp us at 647-806-3784, or call 647-351-4400, and say you'd like blister packs.
- If your prescriptions are at another pharmacy, we transfer them for you. You don't need to call them.
- We review your medications with you, set up your schedule, and prepare your first packs.
- Pick them up, or get them delivered free, same day, anywhere in the GTA.
Good to know
- Packs are usually prepared a week or four weeks at a time.
- Liquids, inhalers, creams and some medications that must stay in their original bottles can't go into bubbles. We'll tell you which ones and keep them alongside your packs.
- If you're in hospital or your medications change, tell us and we'll pause or redo your packs.
Ready to stop sorting pills? Text 647-806-3784 and we'll take it from there.
